Homework. Was it made to torture us?

Imagine the long school day just ended. You just want to relax with a nice snack. But then you remember that you have math homework, AND a study guide. There goes your relaxing time. It's even worse because some of us have after school activities, so if you don't finish before your activities, you have to do it after. I also think it is unnecessary to do homework after we just did the exact same thing for 7 HOURS!!!

A page of (awful) homework.
A page of (awful) homework.

Timing

When you get home, most of us don't even have time to to do homework! You have to have a snack, do afterschool activities, shower, and more. And getting homework on the weekends? That's just evil. Weekends are the only time we have to ourselves to relax, and it's only 2 days! Giving us homework ruins at least one of those 2 days.

Exhaustion

After a whole day of learning and work, we have to do a whole other worksheet on the exact same thing. We are exausted from school and just being a kid. And there homework is, just another thing to do added on top of everything. Personally, when I get home, I just want to lay down and relax.

Laziness

And don't even get me started on study guides! We get a 30 page worksheet that is about 3% what is actually on the test, 27% stuff we didn't even learn, and 70% stuff we spent 5 minutes on. And the answer key for it? Garbage. Half the time they forget to send it, and when they do, there is so many typos and wrong answers it looks like a five year old wrote it!

Is It Neccesary?

From all the reasons I have mentioned, I believe homework is not neccesary and was made spesificaly to tourture us.

I agree. Homework barely covers what we need to be studying, and normaly they give us a lot of overchallenging homework. Homework would only be worth it if it actually helped us.
